‘The Boys are Back in Town’. Little Blue Heroes Foundation is very proud to announce that we have been given the exclusive opportunity to host an Audience with Jack Charlton’s Ireland Legends at The Glencarn Hotel Castleblaney Monaghan on Friday November 3rd, 2023 at 7.30pm in aid of Little Blue Heroes.

The ultimate evening of Ireland’s Legends with be with Ray Houghton, Ronnie Whelan, Steve Staunton, Kevin Sheedy and more on stage. The evening will be full of entertainment and banter as you can well expect, so sit back and enjoy!

This evening will give you a full insight into their careers, from previous football campaigns, to walking out onto the pitch at Lansdowne Road. There will be stories from the Jack Charlton era and from their time at the World Cup and European tournaments.

There will be limited premium tickets for pre-show ‘Meet and Greet’ with the Legends. Don’t miss out on your chance to be one of those.

Cahir Meet & Train in association with The 2 Johnnies are delighted to host The 2 Johnnies South Tipperary Women's Mini Marathon Sunday 24th September at 11am. All proceeds of this event will be donated to two local charities Little Blue Heroe's and Women's Domestic Violence. Closing date for online registration is 20th September at midnight. No registrations will be taken on the day of the event. Prizes on the day for the first 5 overall winners also categorical prizes for the first three. Also a prize for the best fancy dress on the day. This is an opportunity for the men to join the ladies and dress up !!!!

Lauren Memorial Cycle Malin to Mizen

Niall McGrath and his family lost their beautiful 16-year-old daughter Lauren last year to Cancer.

Lauren battled Cancer on five occasions before sadly losing her battle in 2022. She had to deal with epilepsy as well as an amputation to her leg but battled bravely until the end.

The charities, Cliona's Foundation and Little Blue Heroes were a huge source of comfort and help to Niall and his family throughout Lauren’s illness.

This cycle was organised, to help fundraise for these worthy charities that provide so much assistance to families throughout their child’s illnesses and all money raised from the cycle will be split evenly between those incredible charities.

On September 16th we will start our cycle from Malin head to Mizen head, a total of 665km over 6 days.

We will have 16 cyclists doing the full cycle, with the aim to have friends join us along the route when they can, our full trip will be funded by ourselves including the purchase of the jersey, the donations we receive will go directly to the charities, nothing will be used to pay for our event.

LH286 Garda Tony Golden Memorial Cycle 2023

This years Garda Tony Golden Memorial Cycle will once again be a virtual challenge with a One Day Sportive on the Final Day. The challenge this time, is for all participants together to attempt to CYCLE 100 KILOMETRES FOR EVERY LITTLE BLUE HERO that has become honorary members of An Garda Síochána - a combined total of 36,800 kilometres.  The recipient charity for years cycle will be THE LITTLE BLUE HEROES.

 

The challenge is designed for cyclists of all abilities to contribute whatever distances they want to help complete this years challenge of 38,600 kilometres over the 6 days of the challenge. 

 

Any distance you can contribute would help us achieve our goal and also provide financial assistance for THE LITTLE BLUE HEROES.

Today at B Watch, Dublin Fire Brigade, Swords marked the launch of this year’s Dublin Fire Brigade Vs An Garda Síochána football charity match.

We are delighted to be the beneficiary charity for this year’s football match. The charity game will take place at the ALSAA sports complex on Friday the 8th of September 2023 with kick off at 4.30pm. All are welcome to come along to this family event. Many thanks to all participants from the Dublin Fire Brigade and An Garda Síochána with special thanks to Garda Debbie Burnett for arranging the event. Rory's Climb 4 Heroes

The inspirational Honorary Garda Rory McDevitt from Donegal has a wish to climb Errigal "the big mountain". HG Rory and family often pass it on their travels and have decided this year to try and make this wish come true.

In doing this the McDevitt family feel like it's a great opportunity to to do it in aid of Little Blue Heroes and to assist some individual little heroes whom are fundraising for much needed equipment and adaptions. Rory is determined to reach new heights and will be assisted by his father who has a special adapted carrier so they can reach the top together. The climb will start this Sunday at 10.30am and all are welcome to come along and see off Rory and his team, including local Gardai and mountain rescue volunteers on their climb. We could never thank them enough for doing everything they have done for us, not only before Ben past but their love care & support has always continued. They always gave Ben so much love, care and enjoyment on days out We are forever grateful for the love and support we've received from little blue hero's and all the guards in Nenagh Guarda Station & we hope by doing the 5k fun run/walk that we can give back a little to them to be able to help more children and families like us.
